MATCH REVIEW- NETHERLANDS VRS ENGLAND
Yesterday saw a great battle between two great nations, Netherlands and England. The battle was for a slot in the final of the ongoing Euros in Germany. The Netherlands began the game as the favorite to win and boosted the confidence of their fans by netting the first goal of the evening. Xavi Simons, the young talented midfielder gave the Netherlands the goal in the 7th minute.
This increase the chance of the Netherlands winning the game but the English never gave up and kept pushing and creating chances until they got a penalty when the captain Harry Kane was fouled in the box by Denzel Dumfries in the 18th minute. Harry Kane stepped up and converted a nice penalty to equalise for the English. The English came in the game and dominated in some areas of the game.
In the 81st minute, The coach of England Gareth Southgate made some changes that changed the game for the English. He brought on Ollie Watkins and Cole Palmer who scored and assisted the last-minute goal respectively. This goal has sent the English into the final of the ongoing Euros which is scheduled to end on Sunday, 14th July, 2024.
